Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development side event: Build Back Equal for Adolescent Girls

As we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the lives of adolescent girls continue to be disrupted, worsening their social and economic progress. The pandemic’s adverse impacts on education, physical and mental health, and wellbeing of adolescent girls are immense and rapidly unfolding.

As part of the Asia Pacific Working Group on Adolescent Girls, GPE and partners will host a side event during the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD). This side event will highlight the impacts of the pandemic on adolescent girls’ education, health and wellbeing and discuss good practices and policy recommendations to ensure girls are included in prevention, response and recovery efforts.
