TeleTaleem, in partnership with Save the Children, has been working to support literacy and numeracy instruction in Pakistan through its “Ilm on Wheels” innovation. This webinar, which will be presented led by Dr. Imran Zualkernan and Ms. Sehar Taimoor, will explain the theory of change that stipulates that numeracy in marginalized communities can be improved by a holistic real-time approach with a tight feedback loop that addresses children, parents and the community simultaneously.
Dr. Imran Zualkernan, whose current research is about effective and sustainable use of advanced learning technologies to enable and enhance educational systems in developing countries, has published over 120 research papers and has been involved in creating advanced learning technology companies in Singapore and Pakistan. Dr. Zualkernan has been a twice recipient of the global IBM Faculty Research award for his research in just-in-time and game-based learning.
Ms. Sehar Taimoor is a basic education coordinator at Save the Children Pakistan where she provides technical assistance to all projects under Education and Child Development. Sehar has over 10 years of experience working on education in Pakistan. Her main responsibility at Save the Children includes designing training manuals around national curriculum for early and primary education.
