Malawi praises commitment to implementation of education sector improvement plan
The government is implementing the Malawi Education Sector Improvement Project (MESIP), funded through the Global Partnership for Education for MK33 billion, in 800 schools. MESIP has five components focusing on improving learning outcomes by enhancing administrative management and infrastructure development.
On a tour to several schools in Lilongwe, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology praised the outstanding commitment they have received from the community so far, and noted that the success of the project depends on the involvement of relevant players such as teachers, parents, traditional leaders and community members.
