Nigeria embraces STEM education to meet the needs of its population
In Nigeria, exponential population growth has placed new demands on an already-overextended education system, leaving millions without the opportunity to attend school.
Nigerian educators are now looking to take the next step and improve STEM education by introducing rigorous curriculums and increasing knowledge transfers.
The government of Nigeria has already forged partnerships and is drawing upon the technological experience of other countries to build new STEM learning opportunities for Nigerian students. GPE has allocated more than US$100 million in grants to Nigeria in an effort to improve the quality of education.
