Zimbabwe allocates US$29 million to implement new curriculum

As part of the implementation of a new curriculum, Zimbabwe plans to spend US$29 million on training teachers and upgrading school facilities nationwide, announced the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education. US$20 million of these funds will be generated with support from the Global Partnership for Education.

The government hopes this new curriculum will make Zimbabwe’s education system more competitive. In the 2018 national budget, the ministry of primary and secondary education received the second highest allocation.
