Youth and education

What better advocates for education than young people?

Around the world, young men and women are standing up for the right of all children to have access to a good quality education. In their communities and countries, young people are demanding better education services, more training for teachers, and more accountability from elected leaders through targeted advocacy.

Youth advocates are organized locally, nationally and globally. They include advisors to education ministries, regional councils and global advocacy networks to name a few. Through these coalitions, young people are making their voices heard and playing a key role in shaping and influencing education policies.

Youth advocates are working to ensure that all children and youth have access to a quality education that prepares them to lead healthy and productive lives and contribute to their communities and countries.
