Tanzania Partnership Compact is a framework of the United Republic of Tanzania for transforming the basic education system in the country. It presents strategies to address the challenges systemically and sustainably. The compact is part of the GPE III funding application package.
The compact focuses on three priority reform areas: teacher workforce planning and management; gender equality and inclusion; and teaching and learning environment. It has identified teacher workforce planning and management as an overarching systems transformation area due to its potential transformative effect on the other reform areas.
