2017 program development grant for Burundi

December 2017 – The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$234,000 for Burundi to develop a new education program

Description: The new program will support the implementation of a new transitional education plan for 2018-2021. The program will be implemented through the collaboration between Agence Française de Développement (AFD), a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, as grant agent, and the Government of Burundi.

UNICEF has been nominated by the local education group to serve as coordinating agency in Burundi.
