2017 program development grant for Myanmar

December 2017 – The Global Partnership for Education Secretariat approved the following grant:

US$200,000 for Myanmar to develop a new education program

Description: The program development grant will contribute to the preparation of an education sector program implementation grant (ESPIG).

The new program will support the implementation of the National Education Strategic Plan 2016-2021. This program is implemented through collaboration between the World Bank, a key partner of the Global Partnership for Education, as grant agent and the Government of Myanmar.

UNESCO has been nominated by the local education group to serve as coordinating agency for Myanmar.
