Kjersti Jahnsen Mowe is Networks and Learning Manager at the Global Campaign for Education, working for over 5 years out of GCE’s main office in Johannesburg, South Africa. GCE is a global civil society movement which promotes education as a basic human right, and mobilizes the public to hold governments accountable for commitments to provide free, high quality public education for all. Kjersti has been particularly involved with the establishment and coordination of GCE’s Civil Society Education Fund since 2009, and previously worked with CEF in London, and FUNARTE in Nicaragua. Kjersti holds a MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS.
