Prema Clarke is a Senior Education Specialist at the Global Partnership for Education Secretariat. She holds a doctorate degree in Learning and Teaching from Harvard University. Prema, a native of Kerala, India, has worked extensively on education reform in South Asia and Africa. Her passion is to improve the quality of primary and secondary education. She has pursued this interest initially by examining the influence of culture on learning culminating in a book entitled ʺTeaching and Learning - the culture of pedagogy.ʺ More recently, her focus is on the challenges to service delivery in schools and classrooms especially those related to governance and management.
