Megan Haggerty

Ms Haggerty is the Executive Director of the International Education Funders Group, an affinity network of over 100 grantmakers who grant to education in low- and middle-income countries. She has served with the IEFG since 2013, coordinating and convening discussions that focus on the role of grantmakers in advancing the field of education, and creating space for collaboration and critical dialogue. Ms. Haggerty has championed education for social change for the last 15 years. In 2005, she helped found the Canadian Global Campaign for Education as its first coordinator. She has served as a research consultant on civil society networks and education policy advocacy in the national and global arenas, including research for the World Bank, Hewlett Foundation and UNICEF. Her work and activism has brought her to Africa, Asia and Latin America, and she currently calls Victoria, Canada home. She holds an MA in Adult Education and Community Development, with a specialization in Comparative International Development Education, from OISE/University of Toronto.
